The Travel and Tourism industry is one of the largest and ever changing sectors in the world. It accounts for a third of global services trade and is expected to continue to grow in the coming years. The industry and employment opportunities available are wide and varied whether you like travelling, sitting in an office, meeting new people every day or working outdoors, there is a career path from this course for you.
Portobello Institute has been training professionals for the Travel & Tourism sector for over 25 years. This full QQI Level 5 major award gives you the breadth of a qualification to gain employment whether with an airline, travel agency, tour operator or tourist board – these are just some of the employers you can choose from. The tutor team are all experienced industry professionals who can offer superior insight into what it takes to gain employment in this fast moving sector.
Over the past 25 years, Portobello Institute has developed a strong network of travel and tourism contacts which have helped many students to gain employment within the sector. A significant number of our graduates are currently working for companies including to name but a few Guinness Storehouse, Cassidy Travel, Corporate Travel Services, Aer Lingus and Ryanair.
This programme is 24 weeks in duration and is delivered over 2 semesters with examinations at the end of each semester.
