Course Delivery

Blended Online option – Live Webinars, recorded lectures and classroom sessions

Learners will have support through contact with their online blended learning tutor by phone and by email throughout the duration of the course.

Aims

The Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education Level 6 programme will provide learners with the knowledge, skill and competence to work as autonomous practitioners and to lead and supervise others in the provision of quality early childhood care and education in a variety of ECCE settings, whether working in a day care nursery, crèche, pre-school / after school facility or with families as a professional nanny.

Entry Requirements

A minimum Ordinary Level Leaving Certificate standard of education. Mature applicants with relevant life/work experience. Proficiency in English language with a strong interest in the provision of quality care and education for children

Assessment/Examinations

Students access their course materials  through Moodle, our E-Learning portal.

Students are allocated a tutor,who is available to them for two hours,  one evening a week by telephone and at any time via email. These seminars introduce the module and provide information on assessments and submission of assignments. The seminars also provide students with a chance to ask  questions face-to-face with subject tutors.
