QQI level 6 Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) – Part Time Evening

To meet the needs of an expanding ECCE sector Portobello Institute aims to provide a solid, integrated, unified approach to the delivery of ECCE training.
Our Early Childhood courses aim to develop our Learners the highest level of professional competence as practitioners, establishing in them a wide knowledge and a deep understanding of educational practices in conjunction with the principles set down by Síolta: the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education and Aistear: the Framework for Early Learning.
This qualification will allow you to work as a room leader or supervisor under the ECCE scheme. You will be qualified to work with children from 0 – 6 within the broader childcare settings.

This is a part-time course delivered one evening a week. Communications and Work experience modules are completed by blended learning and participants must attend 2 Saturdays to complete these modules.
Workshops are held in Portobello Institute, Dublin 1.

Entry Requirements | Entry to this course is by direct application to the college. Learners should hold a minimum Level 5 in Early Childhood Education or relevant life or work experience. To access programmes leading to this award the learner should have reached the standards of knowledge, skill and competence associated with the preceding level of the National Framework of Qualifications. This may have been achieved through a formal qualification or through relevant life and work experience. |
