Problem-solving
OVERVIEW
The ability to solve problems is an essential part of any employee’s skill set. Everyone can benefit from having good problem solving skills as we all encounter problems on a daily basis. Some of these problems are obviously more severe or complex than others. A lot of the work in problem solving involves understanding what the underlying issues of the problem really are – not the symptoms.
Organisations rely on people who can assess both kinds of situations and calmly identify solutions. Problem-solving skills are traits that enable you to do that. While problem-solving skills are valued by employers, they are also highly useful in other areas of life like relationship building and day-to-day decision making. In this course, you will learn how to assess problems accurately, evaluate alternative solutions and apply appropriate problem solving and decision making processes and methods.
