WHAT IS PRE-UNIVERSITY LAW?
This one-year course will prepares
participants for entrance into Law and
Arts programmes in Irish universities and
colleges. Aswell as preparing students to
work in a legal environment both in Ireland
and abroad. By progressing to a Law degree,
and then on to a post graduate qualification,
students can access the many opportunities
available to those with a legal qualification.
This course lays the foundation for those who
know Law is their first choice and supports
those who are planning to study Law at
degree level. Graduates of this course have
successfully qualified as solicitors.

Career Path | CAREER OPPORTUNITIES There are places in UCC, DCU, TU Dublin, Maynooth University incl. St. Patrick’s College Maynooth, Waterford Institute of Technology, Carlow IT, TU Dublin Tallaght, NUIG, DBS, Shannon College, Letterkenny IT on law courses. There are now over 175 places in First Arts in Maynooth University, 30 places in UCD as well as numerous places in DCU, UCC, Mater Dei, and many local Institutes of Technology for students who hold a QQI qualification in Pre-Law. There are also many other opportunities in law or legal studies programmes in third level colleges all around Ireland. We also have, a very close link with Bangor University in Wales. In addition, there are opportunities in travel and tourism, European administration, local heritage concerns, the public sector as well as in the business world through insurance, banking, or international trade.
