You have to first finish the foundation exam to take up the practitioner exam. The foundation exam covers the basic knowledge and skills needed to use the MoP framework in portfolio management, while the practitioner exam will manifest your expertise in its practical aspects.

These two exams, provided by Global Edulink, will mainly assess your knowledge and skills in performing a range of formal and informal portfolio management activities such as investment decision making, project and programme delivery and benefits realization. These exam will also evaluate if you are competent in analysing portfolio data, documentation and roles in relation to a scenario situation. Who is this course aimed at?

This exams package is aimed at individuals aspiring to get into or already in the portfolio management industry

Method of assessment

The format of the foundation exam is as follows:

• Multiple choice examination questions
• 50 questions per paper
• 25 marks required to pass (out of 50 available) – 50%
• 40 minutes’ duration
• Closed book.

The format of the practitioner exam is as follows:

• Objective testing
• Four questions per paper, 20 marks available per question
• 40 marks required to pass (out of 80 available) – 50%
• Three hours’ duration
• Open book exam. Only the official printed hard copy of the Management of Risk: Guidance for Practitioners guide together with the ABC Guide Part A Example Techniques guidance document is allowed. No material other than the Question Booklet, the Scenario Booklet, the Answer Booklet and the two guides is to be used.
  A printed PDF of the official manual or a digital PDF of the official manual on a personal device, is not allowed in an exam environment.
  The official manual may be annotated and tabulated but no sticky notes and loose leaf papers containing additional notes will be allowed.

Certification

Successful learners will be awarded the MoP® Foundation certificate and the MoP® Practitioner certificate
