Licensing Law Awareness

Overview

If you work within retail and have an establishment that serves alcohol to the public, you should know by now that it is done according to the Licensing Law Act. The Licensing Law Awareness course is ideal for individuals who serve alcohol and want to do it responsibly. When serving alcohol, employees must be aware of their legal responsibilities and requirements. The course will give learners an in-depth understanding of the rules you need to abide by when serving alcohol as stipulated in the Licensing Law Act.

The Licensing Law Awareness course covers key topics which include an introduction to the Licensing Law Act in 2003, alcohol and its effects, personal responsibility when serving the public, underage drinking, preventing trouble and dealing with incidents. Alcohol should be served responsibly by employees working in such establishments as it can have a harmful impact and the sole purpose of the Licensing Act is to protect the public.

The course will give learners an in-depth understanding of the responsibilities of this role. The Licensing Law Act is applied in England and Wales for any individual who works, sells or supplies alcohol in an establishment. It must be a safe premise where no harm is caused to the public.
