Filmmaking For Adults

An exciting challenging seven week part-time course for adults.

Taught by industry professionals. Students are taken through the process of writing, directing, shooting and editing their own short films. Guidance on how to get into the industry is also provided. Workshops in screenwriting, camera, editing, production and acting to camera are also provided by guest tutors.

Tutors include award-winning director Conor Armstrong Sanfey (LIFT), actor Fiach Kunz (Black 47/Game of Thrones) and screen writer/novelist Kealan Ryan (The Middle Place).

Sample Schedule

Week One – Acting to Camera and Direction 7.00pm – 10.00pm

Week Two – Acting to Camera and Direction 7.00pm – 8.00pm

Screenwriting 8.00pm – 10.00pm

Week Three – Screenwriting 7.00pm – 8.30pm

Production 8.30pm – 10.00pm

Week Four – Production 8.00pm – 9.30pm

Camera Workshop 9.30pm – 10.30pm

Week Five and Six – Filming 7.00pm – 10.00pm

Week Seven – Editing and Post Production 7.00pm – 10.00pm

Duration – Three hours each week for seven weeks.

All courses are run under strict social distancing and health guidelines from the HSA, HSE and Government. In the event of a further lockdown the courses will move online.
