This course has been designed to meet the needs of people who are working within the Further Education sector and who want to register with the Teaching Council of Ireland for the purpose of registration as a Further Education teacher in Ireland.
The programme is recognised by the Teaching Council of Ireland as a Teacher Education programme for Further Education.

Entry Requirements | Applicants for this course must possess a Level 7 qualification in Adult Education or equivalent and three years professional experience in the further/adult education sector in a teaching role (FE teacher, FE trainer, FE tutor, resource worker, development worker). Applicants must have access to a recognised educational institution to carry out teaching practice placements (100 hours in total). Applicants will be called for interview. All students registered on this course must undergo a Garda vetting process through WIT. If English is not your first or native Language you will need an IELTS score of 6 (minimum of 5 in each component) or equivalent. |
