Learn to identify weeds and effectively control them. The Diploma in Weeds Identification and Control – Level 4 is designed for individuals who work in the agricultural and horticultural industries. The course will offer guidance on chemical and non-chemical weed control methods such as slashing, burning and mulching.
The course will enable learners to acquire valuable information on how to use spray equipment, how to operate under safety guidelines when using equipment and chemicals. The course will cover key features including understanding detrimental effects chemical herbicides can have on the environment, learn to demonstrate weed control by applying a weed management plan and reviewing application methods required for safety procedures when handling chemical herbicides.
The Diploma in Weeds Identification and Control – Level 4 course will enable individuals to identify the different ways of controlling weeds, learning to identify common weed species and using the appropriate treatment. Additionally, know which chemicals are used on different types of weeds, for instance, some chemicals will work and others won’t.
The course has been endorsed under the The Quality License Scheme.
