The Certificate in Community Studies is aimed at volunteers in the community who wish to gain confidence skills and knowledge to practice more effectively in their communities.
The modules will enable participants to explore and understand community development principles and practice. There is opportunity to reflect on their own volunteering within the community, set goals for personal future development and acquire skills in group work and facilitation. This Course is delivered in the community over 1 academic year.

Entry Requirements | The Access course is of particular benefit to adults who have been out of education for a long time, or who did not complete a Leaving Certificate in the past. It is also for applicants whose skills no longer allow them to access the labour market and for international students who wish to gain entry to undergraduate programmes at WIT (a prerequisite of this is to have a 5.5 (IELTS) in English). |
