The Bachelor of Business Level (NFQ Lever 7 programme is designed for those who wish to enter the field of Business as a career professional. It will provide you with a broad-based business education offering the opportunity to explore and understand key business functions. The programme has a strong focus both on the management and marketing elements of Business.
This programme will assist your academic, intellectual and personal development and enable you to acquire a broad understanding of business principles and practices. It will open up a world of opportunities as a career professional and/or if you wish to progress academically.
Entry Requirements
The Bachelor of Business is a three-year Level 7 qualification awarded by Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI).
Assessment Method
A combination of module appropriate assessment methods will facilitate the assessment of learning outcomes on the course including group work, examinations, presentations and business reports.

| Entry Requirements | Access to the programme is through the CAO or DIRECT with Dorset College Admissions Office. CAO applicants must meet the basic matriculation requirements of a minimum of 5, O6/H7 grades, including Mathematics and a Language. FET applicants must hold a QQI level 5 Major Award. International applicants, who have not applied for access to this programme through the CAO, must furnish an equivalent qualification that is certified by NARIC Ireland. For mature applicants (i.e. age 23 and older), applications will be individually assessed in order to determine suitability through Dorset College’s ‘Recognition of Prior Learning’ policy. English Language Requirements Candidates whose first language is not English are required to meet the admission criteria of IELTS 6.0 / B2+ CEFR or equivalent. Protection of Enrolled Learners Dorset College has arrangements in place to ensure the Protection of Enrolled Learners (PEL) in the event of a cessation of programmes by the college. |
