This video course will first off tour you on the Unity 3D game engine covering its user interface, game objects and components. You will then get to understand the role of MonoDevelop and MonoBehavior in game development, followed by guidelines on how to create a game using the prefabs and unity camera. How to use the pre-built elements in Unity to create your own game components using scripts and how to trap player input, communicate between game objects and build a messaging system using scripts will also be thoroughly discussed through this course.
Video games are incomplete without sound and music, which is why this course will walk you through how to incorporate the sound and music features in Unity 3D to your game. You will also get to examine the basics of GUI to add GUIScore, Time display, title screen, main menu, high scores list and to add pause and end a game round to enhance user experience. By the end of this course, you will be taught on how to implement the knowledge gained to build a game of your own and to publish it in Unity community and to port it to Android.
