To get started in the industry you’ll need to master the art of creating realistic scars, wounds, and bruises, which is exactly what this course will teach you! You’ll be instructed by a makeup artist who has years of experience working on well-known television programmes such as Hollyoaks, so you’ll be in good hands. Develop the skills needed to kick start a career in SFX Makeup, and you could be working in film, television, or theatre. This is a beginner level course, so if you have no experience or want to go back to basics then this is the course for you.

Course Description
This online training course is comprehensive and designed to cover the topics listed under the curriculum.
Method of assessment
At the end of the course students will be required to complete an assignment at home, which will need to be uploaded to the online learning portal. Once it has been submitted, the tutor will assess and mark it in 7 days. The assignment is comprised of a practical test, and a written assignment (open ended questions). The practical test is worth 50% of the overall mark and involves creating an example of special effects makeup, which will need to be recorded on video and uploaded along with the written assignment. You need to pay £29 for assessment and certification fee when you submit your assignment. Once you have successfully passed this assessment you are entitled to an official certificate.

Upon successful completion learners will be awarded a Special Effect Make up Beginners Essentials.
