Overview

Representational State Transfer (REST) refers to an architectural style that defines a set of constraints that has to be considered while developing web services. REST APIs are also sometimes known as RESTful APIs and depend on a stateless, client-server, cache communication protocol such as the HTTP. REST is used to use HTTP to connect machines instead of using complex mechanisms such as RPC, CORBA, or SOAP. RESTful APIs are also used to request and use HTTP to perform the CRUD operations i.e. Create, Read, Update and Delete.

Method of assessment

At the end of the course, you will have one assignment to be submitted (you need a mark of 65% to pass) and you can submit the assignment at any time. You will receive the results within 72 hours of submittal, and will be sent a certificate in 7-14 days if you have successfully passed.
