WHAT IS PRE-UNIVERSITY SCIENCE?
This one-year course is designed to give
students an introduction to the world of
science and covers a variety of areas related
to the sciences. The mathematics element
allows students to bring their levels up to
the competence relevant to their intended
third level course. Students will also have
the option to study other modules along
with science to shape their qualification
for entry to their desired course or area of
employment.

For example, there are up to 18 21 places in Maynooth University, 30 places in UCD science courses and another 20 places in UCD Agricultural Science courses and 10 places in Trinity in First Science for QQI graduates. Alternatively, students may seek immediate employment in a range of companies and projects that seek graduates with a science aptitude.
