Pobalscoil Neasáin
Explore the world of pottery using the best tools we have – our hands!
This course will focus on hand-built pottery. We will work on three fundamental areas – slab building, coil building and pinch pots.
This course allows participants to explore areas of functional, decorative and sculptural work.
We will go through all stages of the ceramics process starting with the raw clay, the firing process and finishing with a glazed finished piece.
This course is taught by Michelle Collier – a professional ceramic artist who works daily as a pottery teacher in a range of different settings. Michelle creates a fun and engaging environment in her class and caters for all skill levels and abilities, meaning no previous experience is needed.
Class begins on the 5th of October, 2021
