Overview

In this Life after University – Getting into the Creative Industry course, you are guided through the decisions one might face when starting a career in creative design. This unique documentary-style course is led by two creative professionals:  Martin, who has been in the industry for more than 10 years and Emily, who graduated only a year ago. Their conversation about the challenges in their career and their different perspectives provide great insights for anyone planning to start their creative career.

Learning with Study 365 has many advantages. The course material is delivered straight to you and can be adapted to fit in with your lifestyle. It is created by experts within the industry, meaning you are receiving accurate information, which is up-to-date and easy to understand.

This course is comprised of professional learning materials, all delivered through a system that you will have access to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 365 days (12 months).

Course description:

This course consists of the following modules:

• Module 1: Introduction
• Module 2: Before You Graduate
• Module 3: Branding Yourself
• Module 4: Time Moves Quickly
• Module 5: Practical Skills
• Module 6: Software Tips
• Module 7: Work in Progress

Course Duration:

From the day you purchase the course, you will have 12 months access to the online study platform. As the course is self-paced you can decide how fast or slow the training goes, and are able to complete the course in stages, revisiting the training at any time.

Method of Assessment:

At the end of each module, you will have one assignment to be submitted (you need a mark of 65% to pass) and you can submit the assignment at any time. You will only need to pay £19 for assessment and certification when you submit the assignment. You will receive the results within 72 hours of submittal, and will be sent a certificate in 7-14 days if you have successfully passed.

Certification:

Successful candidates will be awarded a certificate for Life After University – Getting into the Creative Industry.

Presenter Information:

Martin is a Certified Adobe Design Master and Instructor. He has worked as a designer with companies like Disney, Warner Brothers, Cartoon Network, Sony Pictures, Mattel, and DC Comics. He is currently working in London as a designer and instructor as well as providing a range of services, from live online training to consultancy work, to individuals worldwide. Emily Melling is a freelance designer who is passionate about the entire creative process and most excited about developing ideas. She strives to build strong, long lasting relationships with clients to enable her to understand the core values of the company and what they do. She is very hands on and likes understanding as much as possible about a project or business, as she found this produces the best design solutions – being aware of how the design elements will be seen or used day to day. Her main aim is to create branding which can grow with a company as it develops.
