Learners will also be able to provide the client with relevant post-care to maximise treatment results and look after their skin post-treatment. Understand the systems of the body, how nutrition affects skin health while also gaining a full understanding of the physiology of ageing. Learn about evidence-based practice, professionalism, law and ethics. Learn about at-risk groups and body dysmorphia through psychology for aesthetics practice.

During the course, you will undertake clinical training in a variety of settings. You will learn to identify, evaluate and manage the physical, psychological and social needs of clients undergoing dermal assessment and treatment for conditions such as:
- wound healing
- scarring
- inflammatory conditions
- skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis and rosacea
- uneven skin tone and pigmentation
- ageing or sun damaged skin

course duration
9 Months part-time 3 days per week. Plus at home learning through our online learning platform specifically designed for healthcare courses. While we call this a part-time course, due to the 3 day per week college commitment the level of theory study required will see you need to treat the course as full-time study.
