Irish Wildlife Conservation

Waterford Institute of Technology



This course will provide an introduction to some of Irelands biodiversity such as land mammals, song birds, plants, and will explore sustainable agricultural practices and wildlife conservation and management. The course will introduce field survey skills, and will include an introduction to the use of DNA analysis as a means to verify field collected evidence. The course will aim to instil a wider appreciation of the Irish countryside, natural heritage and sustainable management.
