If you’ve completed the Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Assistant Training, you can progress onto Level 4 to expand your skills and knowledge to support leaning in schools. The level 4 diploma qualifies teaching assistants to take on more responsibilities in the classroom. The course will be a stepping stone to substantially progress to the role of teacher or assessor.
The course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to work with individuals and small groups, while supporting learning and development in the classroom. You will learn to work with children with special needs and support their learning and educational progress. You will also learn how to tackle challenges in the classroom that you may encounter on a day to day basis. The course will educate you on the fundamental principles and practices of the role of a teaching assistant. Under the guidance of a classroom teacher, you will learn how to assess a student’s progress and report on it.
The Diploma in Teaching Assistant Training – Level 4 addresses key subjects such as understanding the development of children and young individuals, learning about the wellbeing of children, supporting learning activities in the classroom, building professional relationships with children and young individuals, educating children on communication and helping them build positive relationships, and learning about the safety of children and young individuals. Method of Assessment
This online course is assignment-based with learners being assessed upon the submission of a series of assignments. Once you successfully submit the assignments, students will gain a professional qualification. The assignments must be submitted to the instructor through the online learning portal. The assignments will be reviewed and evaluated, with feedback provided to the student on how well they have fared.
Certification
At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ABC Awards and Certa Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).
