Overview

If you’ve completed the Level 2 Diploma in Teaching Assistant Training, you can move onto Level 3 to expand your skills and knowledge to support leaning in schools. The course will focus on the vital role a teaching assistant plays in a classroom. The course is designed to help teaching assistants to provide learning support to children from birth to the age of 19 years. You will learn the fundamental skills of what it takes to support a classroom teacher and curriculum, while engaging in diverse tasks and activities.

The role of teaching assistant is not limited to being in a classroom, rather it is an expansive role and gives you the opportunity to work with children with diverse needs. You may work in a primary or secondary school setting, or even with children with learning disabilities and special needs. The Level 3 diploma will help you substantially progress in your career and work effectively in the role of a teaching assistant.

The course has been endorsed under the ABC Awards and Certa Awards Quality Licence Scheme. This means that Study 365 has undergone an external quality check to ensure that the organisation and the courses it offers, meet defined quality criteria. The completion of this course alone does not lead to a regulated qualification* but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills gained. The Learner Unit Summary may be used as evidence towards Recognition of Prior Learning if you wish to progress your studies in this subject. To this end the learning outcomes of the course have been benchmarked at Level 3 against level descriptors published by Ofqual, to indicate the depth of study and level of demand/complexity involved in successful completion by the learner.

Access Duration

The course will be directly delivered to you, and you have 12 months access to the online learning platform from the date you joined the course.  The course is self-paced and you can complete it in stages, revisiting the lectures at any time.

Method of Assessment

This online course is assignment-based with learners being assessed upon the submission of a series of assignments. Once you successfully submit the assignments, students will gain a professional qualification. The assignments must be submitted to the instructor through the online learning portal. The assignments will be reviewed and evaluated, with feedback provided to the student on how well they have fared.

Certification

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ABC Awards and Certa Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).
