This course will provide the learner with the appropriate skills and knowledge essential for effective human resource management. It explores the relationship between an organisation’s strategy, its culture and its HRM policies and procedures.
The learner will be introduced to the main HRM theories, and these will provide a conceptual and practical platform for participant learning. The learner will be encouraged to draw on their own experience as this will help them to develop a clearer understanding of HRM.

Entry Requirements | Mature Students - If you are 23 years or over from the 1st January of this year, you can apply for this course directly using the College’s online application form. Under 23 Years - Two Honours Level, Grade C3s or above and four Ordinary Level D3s in your Leaving Certificate (subjects to include Maths and a language) or equivalent exam taken. |
Career Path | Participants who successfully complete and pass assignments/examinations for these modules may be eligible for advanced entry to the BA (Hons) in Business Studies degree course through the College policy of Advanced Prior Learning (APL). |
