This one-year part-time course aims to provide students with a strong grounding and transferable skills in Digital Animation Production processes, a solid understanding of the Production Pipeline and techniques for both 2D and 3D. This course will provide participants with the required knowledge, skills and competency to assist them in gaining employment in the Digital Animation Production industry.

Entry Requirements | Six passes in the Leaving Certificate, including Mathematics and either Irish or English and either one Higher Level Grade C3, or a minimum of 200 points. OR A level of qualification equivalent to the above considered under the Institute’s Recognition of Prior Learning policy. DkIT also recognises prior learning experience for candidates who may not meet normal entry requirements. Recognition of Prior Learning: Applicants wishing to recognise prior learning are considered under the Institute’s Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) policy taking into consideration discipline specific criteria, appropriate to this programme. RPL is a process that allows students to gain admission to a programme of study or to gain exemptions/credit from some parts of a course, based on demonstrated learning achieved prior to admission. Learning can be gained formally from previously certified coursework. It can be gained informally or non-formally through the workplace, through involvement with community groups or through voluntary activities. |
