Calligraphy
Explore your creative side with Calligraphy and learn how to produce beautiful pieces of decorative writing for Invitations, Certificates, Greeting Cards and more.
This course will cover the materials and techniques used for
- layout and letter formation,
- decorative styles and alphabets
We will also explore the history and appreciation of calligraphy.
No experience is necessary.
Each student will have the opportunity to learn the skills needed to produce a finished piece.
First Night Requirements:
Students should bring along an A4 sketchpad, a HB pencil and a ruler. Further details with regard to materials will be provided on the first night.
About the tutor:
Aidan O’Reilly is a practicing Irish Artist and Educator with over 20 years’ teaching experience at all levels. He exhibits regularly in Merrion Square and has been chosen to represent Ireland at the prestigious UrbinoIn Acquerello 2019 International Art Festival in Italy.
He has an enthusiastic approach believing that enjoyment is a key to successful learning
