This Advanced Diploma in Bookkeeping and Payroll builds your knowledge to a more advanced level of computerised bookkeeping and payroll, working with account adjustments and journals, and preparing management accounts. The course will also give you a good basis if you wish to advance to professional accountancy courses, such as those of ACCA.
This programme would be also useful if you have already completed a professional accountancy programme – to get a practical working knowledge of Sage Software at a more advanced level.
Within the advanced payroll section, you will learn how to calculate holiday pay and redundancy payments and to complete month-end and year end-procedures to Revenue. The course will significantly develop your working knowledge of payroll, by giving you the opportunity to complete more advanced tasks, and it will give you the ability to work unassisted in a payroll environment.
