Portlaoise College, Co. Laoise

Portlaoise College, Co. Laois, provides adult education, evening classes and part-time courses in Portlaoise with an annual enrolment of approximately 600 students in evening classes.

The college is situated just minutes from the heart of Portlaoise. Portlaoise College also provides full-time education for over 600 students in Junior and Leaving Certificate Cycle and in Post Leaving Certificate Courses.

The college has built up a reputation in the delivery of high quality and progressive educational courses, particularly with its emphasis on the Sciences, Technology, Sports and Information and Communication Technology and overall commitment to innovation, in all that it does.

Portlaoise College was officially opened by then Minister for Education and Science, Mary Hanafin T.D. in March 2007. The College includes a large array of modern well-equipped classrooms, six computer rooms, sports hall and fitness suite together with ancillary accommodation. The campus is situated on a 20 acre site.
