Gainfort Academy was established in 2007 by husband and wife Michael and Fiona Gainfort. The academy was opened as a subsidiary of Gainfort Hair and Beauty Supplies who are now 30 years in business. Gainfort Academy has won an impressive list of awards and accolades, including RSVP Leading Beauty School, The Irish Hair and Beauty Awards, The Irish Makeup Awards, Be Fabulous Hair Awards and most recently the HiStyle Tia Maria Award for Best Beauty Academy in Ireland. Gainfort Academy has also just been nominated for Best Training Academy in this year’s Irish Hair and Beauty Awards.
Our qualified team of tutors are experts in their fields with vast industry knowledge and participate in a programme of continued professional development to guarantee exceptional teaching practice. Sharon Sheehan, our artistic director successfully represented Ireland in Wella Trend Vision competition in the UK. Our Pro MUA team, include Instagram favourites such as Marie Murphy, Kat Von D MUA and former Disney MUA.
Gainfort Academy is the leading centre of excellence in the South East for training in Hairdressing, Beauty, Barbering, Teacher Training and Complementary Therapies. Courses offered are tailored to give their students the edge in the competitive job field. The Academy recognises the need to make their students education as commercially relevant as possible in order to ensure students leave with a great CV and are fully equipped to embark on a fantastic career. The structure of training at the Academy enables students to fit training in with other commitments such as employment and childcare. The Academy also accepts transition year students on their certificate courses.
