Awarding Body : Irish Institute of Credit Management
The Irish Institute of Credit Management (IICM) was established in 1971. It is the largest credit management institute in Ireland.
IICM’s mission is to raise the status of the profession of credit management. Their aim is raise it to such an extent that the Irish business community recognises membership of the Institute, and appropriate qualifications, as essential prerequisites for positions in credit management. In addition, the IICM aims that the media, government and corporate bodies in Ireland will recognise them as the primary source of information and views on credit management.
IICM Goals
The IICM has a number of goals. These include the following:
- Increase awareness among Irish companies of the benefits of sound credit management
- Provide continuing educational opportunities to enhance their members' effectiveness and position within the management structure
- Further increase the Institute’s membership within Irish industry
- Position their members for business success
- Further develop the Institute’s association with their European counterparts through the auspices of FECMA (Federation of European Credit Management Associations)
