Course Times | Tuesday and Wednesday evenings 6.15-10.00. This is a modular degree. Typically a module is delivered in a small group setting (15-25 students). There is a scheduled break of 25 mins between modules. Students must attend both nights of their first semester Sept. - Dec. but can choose how many modules and how many nights they wish to attend from the beginning of their second semester. |

The critical thinking faculties of analysis and interpretation of information and the ability to communicate the result in a succinct and accurate manner is an invaluable and much sought-after skill in many areas of employment. In some cases students from the Local Studies degree have published their research. Others have used their newly acquired knowledge and skills within higher education, secondary teaching and the tourism, hospitality and leisure industries. Some graduates decide they would like to proceed into postgraduate study in fields of interest such as history, geography, archaeology and folklore. |
