Who is this course for?
Complete beginners, learn how to turn on/off the computer or laptop, how to use the mouse, open/close applications/programmes, create folders to save files in, print and change the data in Word. Also how to use the Internet and e-mail.
- General use Computer:
- How to turn computer on and off
- How to use the mouse properly and scroll bar
- Open and close programmes/applications
- Familiarise yourself with the various keyboard buttons including the € symbol
- Windows and how to resize and move and switch between open applications
- Find applications quickly
- Microsoft Word:
- How to enter text and delete same
- How to select text (writing) and use Bold, Italic, Underline
- How to change writing colour, size and style
- How to spellcheck your document
- Use Ribbon buttons including Undo/Redo
- Difference between Save and Save as
- Create a folder and how find it in your filing system
- Internet:
- Learn how to open a website
- Learn to differentiate between the different Internet software
- How to use Google to search for information
- Print from websites
- Book airline tickets, holidays or complete other online booking forms
- E-mail:

- How to read an e-mail and reply to the sender
