Bachelor Of Arts In Human Resource Management
Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT)
raduates will be prepared for a career in a modern HRM function, and also have the knowledge and skills required to proceed to further academic and professional education. This programme will produce capable, adaptable, resilient and self-confident graduates with a capacity for independent thought and judgement and a specialised knowledge of Human Resource Management. The degree is designed around six key themes, namely human resources management, human resources skills development, business knowledge, accounting and finance, and sustainability and wellness. Current academic thought and practices in the discipline of HRM are incorporated into the programme.
This is a part-time/flexible delivery award to serve the needs of those in employment and those who are balancing work, home and educational commitments. This programme is a joint collaboration between School of Business, Galway Campus and the Mayo Campus, and is offered in both locations, with some joint delivery.

| Entry Requirements | A pass (Grade D3 or better) in the Irish Leaving Certificate in five subjects, including English or Irish and Mathematics (or equivalent), and two years relevant work experience, OR Mature students (i.e. 23 years +) with a minimum of two years relevant work experience. Selection will be by means of interview which will take place in June. Applicants with a minimum of a Higher Certificate in Business (or equivalent) may be eligible for entry to year 2 of the programme. |
