AutoCAD 2D Introduction

The use of computer aided design (CAD) systems in industry has become an essential part of the modern working environment. CAD is used at all stages of the design process, from conceptualisation and production of working drawings to the production of virtual reality images. City and Guilds AutoCAD courses are widely accepted in industry as the most recognised qualification in the use of CAD. This course is designed to cover a wide range of 2D drawings and editing commands and routines to aid the application of AutoCAD. Participants will become familiar with the necessary techniques required to produce and edit drawings of medium complexity and prepare drawings from output to hard copy.

Entry Requirements | Mature Students - If you are 23 years or over from the 1st January of this year, you can apply for this course directly using the College’s online application form. A member of the College’s admissions team will be in touch to discuss your course entry requirements. Under 23 Years - 5 Ordinary Level, Grade D3s or above in your Leaving Certificate (subjects to include Maths and a language) or equivalent exam taken. All applicants must be a user of Microsoft Office. |
Career Path | Upon completion, this professional certificate is the perfect foundation for participants who wish to progress in the workplace. Successful applicants may also elect to pursue further studies by progressing onto the Certificate in 2D AutoCAD Advanced course. |
