WHAT IS SPORTS INJURY PREVENTION AND MASSAGE THERAPY?
This one-year course will equip students with
the knowledge and skills required for working
within the area of sports injury prevention
and sports massage therapy in the sports,
coaching, recreation and leisure industries.
Students will expand their education on the
physiological principles related to sports
massage and injury prevention. This course
offers the potential to develop your studies
onto third level education. Graduates

Students can progress to PE Teaching via an undergraduate degree at IT Tralee or Cork University and to the Postgraduate Master in PE Teaching at UL. Graduates will also achieve coaching certificates enabling them to enter the sports coaching, sports management, recreation and instruction workforce.
